13 bagong hukom para sa 9 na probinsya ng Luzon, itinalaga ni PNoy

Nagtalaga si Pangulong Benigno Aquino ng 13 bagong mga hukom sa siyam na probinsiya sa Luzon.

Sa isang transmittal letter kay Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, sinabi ni Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr na ang mga bagong hukom ay matatalaga sa  Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Southern Tagalog at Bicol Region.

"[By] virtue hereof, you may qualify and enter upon the performance of the duties of the office, furnishing this Office and the Civil Service Commission with copies of your oath of office," ayon sa appointment papers ng mga hukom.

Ang mga bagong talagang hukom ay hahawak ng  regional trial court, municipal trial court in cities, at metropolitan trial court.

Ang mga ito ay sina:

1. Judge Rhea Sernadilla-Gallevo (Metropolitan Trial Court or MTC Agoo, La Union)
2. Judge Romeo Carmelito Conge (MTC Pulilan, Bulacan)
3. Judge Jose Covarrubias III (Municipal Trial Court in Cities or MTCC Branch 1 Meycauayan, Bulacan)
4. Judge Rene Dela Cruz, (MTC Daet, Camarines Norte)
5. Judge Maria Christine Bernarte (MTC Calabanga, Camarines Sur)
6. Judge Salvador Villarosa Jr. (MTC Labo, Camarines Norte)
7. Judge Maria Kristina Malanyaon (MTC Buhi, Camarines Sur)
8. Judge Pedro Redonia (Regional Trial Court or RTC Branch 63 Calabanga, Camarines Sur)
9. Judge Ignacio Barcillano Jr. (RTC Branch 13, Ligao, Albay)
10. Judge George Andy Pantanosas (MTC Branch 2, Binganonan, Rizal)
11. Judge Bonhoefer Bernardez (MTC Bantay, Ilocos Sur)
12. Judge Rachelle Asuncion Palen (MTC Bolinao, Pangasinan)
13. Judge Cresencio Maliwat (RTC Branch 21 Santiago, Isabela)

Ang mga hukom ay napili mula sa isang shortlist na inihanda ng Judicial and Bar Council (JBC), ang inatasang mamili at magnomina para sa mga bakanteng puwesto sa hudikatura at opisina ng Ombudsman.

Ang JBC ay pinamumunuan ni Sereno, at may tatlo itong ex-officio members at apat na regular members. — JGV /LBG, GMA News
