Charice hints at 'top secret' Hollywood project plus album showing 'new Charice'

International singing sensation Charice Pempengco revealed that she's preparing for a big project along with the release of her third album here in the Philippines.

She said that she will be singing the theme song of a Hollywood animated film according to a report from Nelson Canlas of “24-Oras.”



“Sobrang kinakabahan. Kinakabahan talaga ako kasi you have no idea like kung gaano kalaki itong project na ito,” Charice said adding “It's for [an] animated movie sa US.”

She said that she still can't believe it herself and that negotiations with the film's producers took two weeks until she was given the call where she was asked to study the song and start recording.

But when pried for more details, Charice refused saying that it was still “top secret.”

Aside from this, Charice will start recording on July for her third album to be locally released. She said that she wants to release this production together with another album that she will be releasing abroad.

“Ang eexpect nila sa album na ito is more [of a] laid back [genre]. It's definitely gonna be [a] new Charice.”

She also expressed her gratitude to her fans for their unwavering support amid her recent coming out as a lesbian.

“Ang sarap sa feeling tapos especially nakikita mo yung mga fans mo dito sa Philippines kung paano ka nila inaccept after the big coming out. Kasi di ko na experience yun noon when I was the old Charice,” she said.

Charice gained international stardom through video sharing site YouTube. This propelled her to be recognized by American powerhouse entertainer Oprah Winfrey, among others.

Her most successful single to date is “Pyramid,” a collaboration with Iyaz which entered the top 40 in the music charts of various countries.

Charice has also entered the world of acting with her role as Sunshine Corazon in the hit TV musical “Glee.” - Andrei Medina, VVP, GMA News
