Fans of Apple and its late co-founder Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs may want to start saving up for the fall. A paperback edition of their idol's authorized biography is due to come out in September.

New York-based Simon & Schuster said this edition of the best-seller by Walter Isaacson may come out September 10, with a new afterword and cover image of Jobs as a younger man, All Things Digital reported.

"(The) new art, taken by Norman Seeff in 1984, should attract a lot of attention," AllThingsD reported.

It was referring to the iconic Apple co-founder in a "thumb-on-chin" pose similar to the one taken by Albert Watson in 2006.

The young Steve Jobs in the 1984 photo had "the exact same intense gaze that he was well known for," AllThingsD noted.

Jobs, renowned for inventing Apple's iconic devices such as the iPhone, died in October 2011 due to complications from a relapse of pancreatic cancer.

AllThingsD said Jobs' biography was released in the fall of 2011, and became a best-seller on Amazon.

"The paperback version will come out almost two years later, which is a longer time between hardcover and paperback releases than most books," it said. —KG, GMA News
