Sean Dominic Granada may not may not be a household name yet but this eight-year-old golfer is off to a good start in a sports career after he became the Champion of the recent US Kid's Gold Qualifier of the eight-year-old bracket.  According to a report of Chino Trinidad for “24 Oras” on Thursday, Sean practices playing golf everyday, rain or shine. Instead of going home after school, Sean goes straight to the driving range where he practices golf daily. “Ang na-eenjoy ko po sa golf ay yung marami po akong nagiging kaibigan tapos po pag naglalaro po ako sa mga tournament parang [ang] saya,” Sean explained. The golf genius even spends his weekend practicing golf, showing his dedication for the sport. His grandfather, pro golfer Vic Granada, coaches him, teaching him the basics of golf and having a proper mindset for the game. “Basta itama mo lang yang kaisipan mo. Wag mo na isipin muna yung darating. Ito muna, dito ka lang muna sa umpisa. Basta dito ka lang. Yung future wag mo muna isipin yun,” Vic recalled telling Sean. Vic recalled that when Sean was four years old, he asked him why he wanted to play golf. Sean's reply was simple: he wanted to earn money while playing golf so he could help support his parents financially. In the "24 Oras" report, Sean showed his skill with his coach and grandfather, Sean practiced hitting targets while blindfolded, something which can only be done with a certain level of trust with your trainer. - Andrei Medina, VVP, GMA News
