One clear goal: The Clear National Aspirants Camp

July 18, 2013 8:48am

Everyone is invited to go and watch the CLEAR NATIONAL ASPIRANTS CAMP, in cooperation with the Philippine Football Federation (PFF), from July 19 – 21.

For the first time ever, CLEAR has gathered the most promising under-16 footballers from all over the Philippines on to one pitch for a three-day camp.

80 of the best young footballers of the Philippines (27 from Metro Manila and 53 from provinces nationwide) will be subjected to the most grueling and intensive recruitment camp conducted by the coaches of the PFF.

Our Philippine Azkals, including Chieffy Caligdong, Phil and James Younghusband, will also be on hand to help coach and guide these young athletes.

The first two days in ASCOM Field in Taguig will have our participants engage in various drills, training methods, and educational football lectures as we give our football players the tools to move up to the next level.

The event culminates in a series of exhibition games on Sunday, July 21, at Rizal Memorial Stadium wherein our participants get to compete against each other and show off their skills. The camp will end with a CLEAR All-Star Game between the top performers and the Azkals seeded into their teams so they can get the chance to play with the Azkals!

All this is for One CLEAR Goal - to represent and compete for our country as a member of the national team. At the end of camp, the PFF will choose 11 players who are good enough to be included in our Under-16 National pool.

The first two days of the event (July 19-20) will be in ASCOM Field in Taguig, while the third day (July 21) will be in Rizal Memorial Stadium, where the first 200 fans will have the opportunity to meet and greet our Azkals national team. Admission is free.

CLEAR Philippines brand manager Drew Copuyoc says that, “This is all in line with CLEAR’s Goal of training the next generation of great Filipino footballers.”
