PAGASA: Typhoon Yolanda exits PAR

November 9, 2013 3:29pm

After leaving behind a deadly trail of destruction, Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) exited the Philippine area of responsibility Saturday afternoon.

PAGASA forecaster Joey Figuracion said Yolanda exited at 1:30 p.m., radio dzBB reported.

Yolanda is now heading for Vietnam, the report added.

While it was in the PAR, Yolanda made landfall over parts of Luzon and Visayas six times.

It caused several deaths and disrupted power and communications in the areas it barreled through.

But with Yolanda's exit, PAGASA expects the weather to start improving this weekend. — LBG, GMA News
