Pacquiao takes a break from boxing to ball with Barroca
Manny Pacquiao took a break from his preparations for the April rematch against Timothy Bradley Jr. to play a round of hoops with reigning PBA Philippine Cup Finals MVP Mark Barroca, earlier this week.
Barroca, who was in General Santos for the first time with his family, couldn't turn down the opportunity to interact with his fellow sports star, playing a round of pick-up at the gym in Pacquiao's mansion.
After getting crowned as champions in the last conference late in February, Barroca's San Mig Coffee Mixers don't begin their Commissioner's Cup campaign until next Wednesday, March 12, versus the GlobalPort Batang Pier.
Pacquiao often sprinkles in a few basketball games with his training, with adviser Michael Koncz saying in the past that it was part of the Sarangani Congressman's "pre-conditioning," adding that it "not only gets him in shape, it relaxes him mentally, also."
The Filipino ring icon has also been seen taking in NBA games and interacting with foreign basketball stars. Los Angeles Laker Kobe Bryant even said that his Kobe 9 shoe was inspired by Pacquiao and his boxing boot.
Barroca's wife, Russell also posted pictures of her husband with Pacquiao on her instagram account. - AMD, GMA News
