Three years after their tour in the Philippines, Broadway percussion hit "STOMP" will return to the Cultural Center of the Philippines. This time, full-blooded Filipino Andres Fernandez will join the cast, along with two new, eccentrically-named routines.

"Trolleys", explores the sounds and rhythm which can be produced from supermarket trolleys, while "Frogs" takes its cues from various plumbing fixtures. Fernandez, born to a Kapampangan father and a Visayan mother, espoused uniqueness of the routine "Donuts", which he thinks will appeal to Filipinos.

"It reminds me of eskrima sticks (scrimmage sticks), where we use these sticks to hit huge tractor tire inner tubes worn around the waist to make the sound," said Fernandez.

While it is still unknown which role Fernandez will take on for their eight-day engagement, the 17-year-veteran is ready to bring a unique "Filipino style" on stage for his "23-years-in-the-making" homecoming.

“I’m just so extremely excited, I can’t wait to get back - it’s the first time since Christmas of 1991 since I last visited, promoting my brother’s album ‘Puede Ba’ which was recorded in the Philippines," said Fernandez.

"STOMP" has toured over 53 countries across five continents with its raucous, banging-trash-can-lids-for-an-hour beats unlike other polished Broadway songs.

The show will run from June 17 to 22.
