April 21, 2006 6:57pm
Three Sherpas were feared to have died at a landslide in Mt. Everest.

Filipino mountaineer Romi Garduce said some 20 rescue workers were deployed to Khumbu Icefall, considered the most dangerous section in the trail, but had to suspend operations as night fell.

The missing Sherpas are not among those helping out Garduce in his attempt to become the first Filipino to reach the summit of the world's highest mountain.-GMANews.TV
