Daughter ponders on future away from OFW dad
Papa I was just a mere heartbeat when you decided to leave for my future and our family... I can feel the sadness in my mama's heart, still you try to touch me,but i tried to hide Knowing you will be away... i know i will miss you... As I came to the world still you are miles away, I try not to cry to make you brave not to come home for my future and our family... Now I have grown 6 years past, still apart from you I never know how papa would hug, kiss and play with me Is it the same as mama's? Now I get to listen from your end the line I used to hear when I was just a mere heartbeat... I am here for your future and our family... What is my future and our family, papa? Is it having Barbie dolls during birthdays and Christmas? Is it having a separate picture of you and me? What is my future and our family? Without you? Is that what my future is and our family? *A simple poem for Mr. Frederick Placido Bravo - New York City, U.S.A. Happy Father's Day!!! --Thine Bravo
