Ethel Booba, QC bar rivals bury hatchet

Television host and comedienne Ethel Booba on Monday decided to drop charges against two women whom she had a predawn squabble hours earlier. Radio station dzBB reported that Booba and the women, one of whom was earlier identified as Rhea May Labra, 20, have already patched up their differences. Booba, or Ethel Gabison in real life, earlier said she was considering to file charges of unjust vexation and slight physical injuries against the two. The entertainment personality claimed that her foes hit her lip with a shoe, causing her lip to bleed. She visited the Quezon City Police District after the altercation. Tempers flared at the Decades Bar in Quezon City after Booba heard the two remarking, "bagong lalake na naman (she has a new man again)." An irked Booba, who arrived with with a male companion at that time, confronted the two women and soon a heated argument erupted. The two sped away using a taxi cab, but Booba gave chase.
