Police on Wednesday arrested the suspected gunman in the shooting of the manager of GMA Network's radio station in Bacolod City.

The suspect was identified as Romeo Corgo, reportedly a deputized officer of the Land Transportation Office.

Ferdinand "Bambi" Yngson, 46, station manager of GMA Network's radio station in Bacolod City, was shot and wounded early Wednesday in his hometown of Sagay City, Negros Occidental.

Yngson reportedly made critical comments about "under the table transactions" at the LTO before the incident.

Corgo, who was with his wife at the time of the incident, reportedly shot Yngson with a shotgun outside the Sagay public market.

The police are still looking into the motive of the shooting.

Yngson was being brought to the Riverside Medical Center in Bacolod City as of posting time. - GMANews.TV
