StarStruck first season winner Jennylyn Mercado shrugged off reports that she is now suffering from financial problems due to lack of movie and television projects from GMA, 24-Oras reported Monday. Jen, as she is fondly called, assured that she is handling her situation well and has enough savings to support her family. Reports about Jennylyn’s alleged financial problems came out after Angel Locsin transferred to ABS-CBN. Jennylyn and Angel have the same talent manager. "Wala, wala naman kaming financial problem. Pagdating sa mga ganyang bagay alam ko naman kung paano iha-handle at meron naman, kumbaga sa haba ng panahon na pinagtrabahuhan ko di ba, meron naman pong savings," she said. The GMA Artist Center reiterated that projects were lined up for Jennylyn. Mercado is currently shooting scenes for the movie “Resiklo" with Senator Ramon ‘Bong’ Revilla Jr. Jennylyn has just returned home after a mini-concert in Hawaii with another GMA talent, Jonalyn Viray. She thanked her fans and assured them that there was nothing to worry about. “Maraming-maraming salamat. Hindi pa rin sila bumibitaw hanggang ngayon. Tsaka thank you sa lahat ng support and 'wag kayong mag-alala babalik na rin ako," she said. She said she won’t dwell on problems that might affect her work. She thanked her friends, including her ex-boyfriend Mark Herras. “Si Mark andyan pa rin. Si Mark nangangamusta pa rin," she said. - AMITA LEGASPI, GMANews.TV
