Manila police are now hot on the tracks of what is believed to be a serial killer responsible for the brutal killing and burning of two women in Manila last week.

GMA 7’s 24 Oras reported that the first unidentified victim was discovered in a motel in Sta. Cruz district on Feb. 22, while the second one, identified only as “Norma," was found two days later in a motel in Quiapo. Both victims were reportedly burned beyond recognition.

According to C/Insp. Dominado Arevalo Jr, chief of the Manila Police District’s Homicide Division, the pattern of the violence on the two victims were identical: Both were brought to a motel, and after around 12 hours they were killed and burned.

Also identical were the two artist sketches of the suspects in both incidents as described by witnesses.

The suspect in both incidents was described as between 35 to 40 years of age, 5’5" to 5’6" in height, has a fair complexion, with hair reaching his ears, and has a thin figure. The only difference was the suspect in the Sta. Cruz incident has been described to have a mole near his right eye.

“The suspect in the other incident was seen wearing a cap, probably as a disguise," Arevalo said in the 24 Oras interview.

Arevalo assured they will capture the suspect soon since they have already established his pattern. - GMANews.TV
