Sine Totoo presents

Episode on May 31, 2008 Saturday, 11:15 p.m. The first ever adventure of the country’s pioneering environment and wildlife conservation TV program Born to Be Wild airs again this Saturday night on Sine Totoo. In this pilot episode hosts Romi Garduce, Everest mountaineer, and Doc Ferds Recio, practicing veterinarian, encounter wildlife in two different animal sanctuaries. Doc Ferds attends to wounded giraffes at the Calauit Wildlife Sanctuary in Palawan – their lesions caused by the larvae of flies. But treating the giraffes proves physically challenging. Doc Ferds has to chase hard after the fleet-footed animals to disinfect them! Romi journeys to Calatrava, Negros Occidental to document monkeys supposedly in the wild. But the macaques have lived in the sanctuary for years, freely interacting with residents and tourists. Romi discovers the constant visitors and the food they bring with them have affected the macaques drive to forage for themselves. On the set of Sine Totoo, Howie Severino discusses the show’s environmental advocacy with one of the Born to Be Wild hosts -- new TV heartthrob Doc Ferds Recio -- and the show's executive producer Anj Guidaya-Atienza. Ang kauna-unahang adventure ng pioneer environment and wildlife conservation TV program na Born to be Wild and tampok ngayong Sabado ng Sine Totoo. Sa episode na ito, matutunghayan ni Everest mountaineer Romi Garduce at ng beterinaryong si Doc Ferds Recio ang buhay ng mga hayop sa dalawang wildlife sanctuary. Sa Calauit Wildlife Sanctuary sa Palawan, susubukang gamutin ni Doc Ferds ang mga giraffe na nagtamo ng mga sugat dulot ng mga itlog ng langaw. Pero tila naging challenge ito kay Doc Ferds dahil kinailangan niyang makipaghabulan sa mga giraffe para magamot ang mga ito. Sa Calatraya, Negros Occidental naman nagtungo si Romi para bisitahin ang mga macaque na nakatira sa sanctuary. Pero nalaman niyang ilang taon nang nakikihalubilo ang mga macaque sa mga residente at turista sa lugar. Nadiskubre niya ring nasanay na ang mga macaque na umasa sa pagkaing dala ng mga bumibisita sa kanila. Sa set ng Sine Totoo, tinalakay ni Howie Severino ang environmental advocacy ng Born to be Wild kasama ang host na si Doc Ferds at ang executive producer na si Anj Guidaya - Atienza.
