Mga Kabarangay, alamin ang dos and don’ts ng Status of the Nation host na si Ate Liza when it comes to traveling abroad.

Very helpful ang tips ng brunette DJ, dahil maraming beses na siyang nag-around the world.

Make sure to take down notes para maging hassle-free ang inyong out of the country vacation.

1.  Spend more on experiences and less on money
Instead of an expensive hotel, Ate Liza looks for an inn or an affordable option that does not deprive her of privacy.

Tandaan daw, mga Kabarangay, na puwede kang mag-enjoy sa biyahe without burning your life’s savings.

Spend more on experiences like kung tours, if you like traveling in a group or let’s say pupunta kayo sa ganitong lugar, puwede kang mag-spend on that pero on other things puwede kang magtipid.”

2.    Be alert!
Huwag daw dalhin ang important documents, like your passport, everywhere especially kung safe naman ang accommodation mo. Baka raw kasi malaglag mo.

Always be alert! Mayroon at mayroon niyan.”

3.    Mas maliit na pasalubong mas okay!
“Kasi hindi mo rin ‘yan mauuwi or mabibitbit. Mahihirapan ka rin. As much as possible, I travel light pag ako lang mag-isa kasi madaling mamanhik-manaog sa bus, eroplano or train or whatever mode of transportation.”

4.    Update loved ones on your whereabouts
“Kunwari, nandito na ako sa hotel. At least updated sila sa whereabouts mo. Hindi sila magwo-worry about you.”

5.    Research your travel destination
“Research!

It helps daw to check out travel sites and blogs, “kasi sila ‘yung magbibigay ng practical tips.”

6.    Get to know the locals
“Huwag kang masyadong magtitiwala basta-basta, siyempre. Pero also give yourself a chance to talk to people and know them. Kasi ‘yun naman ‘yung maganda sa traveling. You get to experience ‘yung culture and you meet people.
