Papa Dan is living his dream

The question “What’s your ultimate wish?” or “What do you want to achieve?” can generate several long and complex responses.

For Papa Dan of Barangay LS, however, the answer is a one-liner.

“I’m already living (my dream) right now,” he declared.

Success, for him, is most measurable by his own terms. He acknowledges that there are many things to improve on, but he’s glad to be where he is now.

“There’s still a lot more to do. I do not see others as competition. The competition here, the challenge here is really yourself,” he said.

The idea that success is entirely onto you motivates Papa Dan to give his A-game each time.

“Sabi nga nila, you’re only good as your last show. So to always raise the bar, you (have to) put it up every day (by challenging) yourself and (thinking of) what else you can offer,” he added.

The Wanted Sweetheart host emphasized the importance of being ready when the opportunity comes.

“Dati pangarap ko lang maging DJ. Sabi ko, ‘Lord, ewan ko kung paano pero gusto ko.’ So the opportunity came (and I grabbed it),” he proudly shared.

He advised his listeners and supporters to be always on the look out for opportunities and be courageous when it’s already there.

“Sabi nga nila, three things (lead to success) – opportunity, luck and ‘yung pagiging prepared mo. So pag dumating ‘yun, either isa o sabay sabay, ready ka,” he disclosed.
