Wanted: Sweetheart host Papa Dan matches lonely hearts on weekdays from 9 p.m. to midnight.

But playing on-air cupid late into the night is taxing even for the popular disc jock and event host.

In a feature with FH&S Magazine where he is the cover for the September-October issue, Papa Dan revealed his secrets to being in tiptop condition.

Despite working the night shift, the DJ and event host is an early riser and tries to load up on the good stuff.

“[Basta] since I’m a morning person, I don’t start my day without a heavy breakfast. And also, if there’s a chance for me to grab fruits and vegetables along the way, I wouldn’t let the moment pass,” he told FH&S magazine.

His lean body belies the fact that he does not follow a strict diet but just balances his food intake.

He gets his workout by playing basketball, his favorite sport, like all Filipinos.

“It gives me stamina and keeps my muscles alive. And, of course,  it’s one of the best sports activities when your work is all about sitting and talking over the radio,” he quipped.

Aside from breakfast and basketball, Papa Dan believes in a third “B” - beauty rest.
Most of all, he loves his job, and it keeps him motivated.

Papa Dan said, “I’ll see to it that I’ll find time to relax and rest and get quality sleep. Being patient on my work and always have a positive vibe rejuvenates my spirit.”

“I love my work and it seems I really don’t feel like I’m working.”
