Considered one of the country’s most-respected veteran journalists and broadcasters, GMA News Pillar Arnold Clavio is celebrating his 30 years in the media industry.

In 1989, Arnold joined GMA Network as a radio reporter for DZBB. He wrote for various news programs before he became a news reporter on cam. He first appeared on Brigada Siete as a reporter in 1994. His exclusive story on the Abu Sayyaf group earned him an award from the Asian Broadcasting Union for "Best Reportage of a Crisis."

Over the years, Arnold has been known for his hard-hitting yet entertaining reporting style. At present, Arnold co-hosts the country’s longest-running and top-rating morning show Unang Hirit and anchors GMA’s late night newscast Saksi from Monday to Friday. He hosts the public affairs program Alisto, which airs every Tuesday after Saksi. On GMA News TV, Arnold hosts the talk show Tonight with Arnold Clavio (TWAC) every Wednesday evening. On DZBB, he co-anchors the radio program Dobol A sa Dobol B, weekdays at 10 a.m.

On top of being a trusted figure in the media industry, Arnold has also established the iGan ng Pilipinas Foundation to help sick children, especially those with diabetes. Arnold is diabetic himself.

Arnold highlights his 30th year in the industry by launching his very own book, “Iskets, Piktyur at Tula” in an intimate gathering of friends and family on August 5. During the book launch, Arnold is expected to share some of his sketches and artwork in an exhibit as well.
