Super Radyo DZBB wins Radio Station of the Year at PMAP Awards

GMA Network’s flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB was named as Radio Station of the Year at the 7th People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) Makatao Awards for Media Excellence held last November 29 at the Dusit Thani Manila in Makati City.

Radio GMA President and DZBB anchor Mike Enriquez also won, for the third consecutive year, the Best Radio News Anchor award.

For the television category, GMA News pillar and 24 Oras anchor Mel Tiangco emerged as this year’s Best TV News Anchor; while multi-awarded broadcast journalist Kara David was recognized as  Best TV Public Affairs Program Host.

A Special Award was also given to Sandra Aguinaldo’s i-Witness documentary “Women Warriors” for bringing the Marawi stories to the public.

Every year, PMAP recognizes members of mass media in their outstanding contribution to enhance public understanding of the role and impact of good people management with the resultsbased on the votes of its member companies, individual members, and its partner organizations nationwide. 

RGMA President Mike Enriquez and GMA Vice President for Radio Operations Glenn Allona received the award for DZBB’s back-to-back win as the Radio Station of the Year and Best Radio News Anchor.

GMA News reporter Mark Zambrano received the award on behalf of Mel Tiangco for Best TV News Anchor.

i-Witness Researcher Allane Orendez received the special award on behalf of Sandra Aguinaldo.
