Dobol B sa News TV marks first anniversary

GMA News TV’s Dobol B sa News TV celebrates one year of delivering the country’s biggest news and commentaries simultaneously via AM radio and free television – “Radyo na, TV pa!”

Anchored by four of the country’s most trusted radio broadcasters—GMA News pillars Mike Enriquez and Arnold Clavio together with Joel Reyes Zobel and Ali Sotto, Dobol B sa News TV is the successful collaboration of GMA’s flagship AM radio station Super Radyo DZBB and the country’s leading local news channel GMA News TV. It regularly provides the listening and viewing public with news headlines, weather bulletins, traffic reports, public service announcements, and even entertainment tidbits that only Dobol B can offer.

Arnold, on the other hand, shares how he enjoys working with the ‘Fab Four’ of radio. “Isang taon na rin ang kalampagan at kulitan. Ang nakakatuwa kasi sa programa, walang script kaya nagiging natural lang ang batuhan namin. Maraming salamat sa isang taong paglalakbay sa himpapawid!,” he said.

“Tuloy-tuloy lang po ang ating pagbabalita at pagbabantay sa pinakamalaking balita tuwing umaga. Maraming salamat po sa pagtangkilik at pagtitiwala,” adds Joel.

“Nagpapasalamat kami sa mga tao who appreciated the work that goes on what we do. It’s not easy to write songs everyday about the issues and to find their lighter side para maging satire yung content,” shares Ali.

And with Dobol B sa News TV helping to further strengthen DZBB’s radio broadcast operation, DZBB is now the number one AM radio station in Mega Manila.

Based on data from Nielsen Radio Audience Measurement, DZBB’s weekday morning time block (6AM to 11AM) held the top spot in Mega Manila during the fourth quarter of 2017 with 37.40 percent average audience share versus DZMM’s 30.20 percent. And in the first quarter of 2018, DZBB again led the competition with 35.40 percent as against DZMM’s 30.30 percent. 

Dobol B sa News TV features DZBB’s top-rating morning programs beginning with Saksi sa Dobol B, Super Balita sa Umaga Nationwide, Sino?, and Dobol A Sa Dobol B. At the same time, the program presents commentaries on national issues in an entertaining manner through the well-loved musical-commentary segmentsJeng-Jeng and Balitawit.
