Her past heartbreaks have helped her become a better version of herself. “Mas marami akong natutunan. I’ve become tougher and stronger,” she said.

She has accepted the transient nature of young love and has allowed time to heal the pain that she once nursed.

“People come and go. Basta ang importante 'yung ngayon… I’m okay [and] fine na,” she added.

The Kapuso performer is more cautious and careful now, saying that she wants to fully get to know a potential partner before getting into a relationship.

“Siguro, kailangan kilalanin muna ng bonggang bongga [ang isang tao],” she said.

Although she presently has no significant other, she’s happy to have time to focus on her work commitments and spending time with her family.

“Well kasi love, for me, can be a distraction [from other things]… 'Yung love naman, puwede mo naman ibaling sa pamilya mo 'di ba? Pwede sa romantic kind [or] sa family, so [for now, ibuhos ko muna sa] family [ko] po,” she declared.

Aside from her experiences, she also uses her friends’ stories as inspiration for her art.

“Nagsusulat ako ng poetry or music. [O minsan] nagpapakuwento ako sa mga friends ko or nag-open up sila sa ‘kin. Dun ako kumukuha ng ideas, dun ako na-i-inspire… Vulnerable ako eh. Madali akong madala ng mga emotions ng ibang tao so kumbgaga, parang sinasalo ko 'yung kung ano man 'yung pinagdadaanan ng iba,” she shared.
