Alden Richards is staying where his heart belongs after he renewed his contract with GMA Records this Friday afternoon, January 5.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Records EVP and GMA Network COO Felipe S. Yalong, GMA SVP for Alternative Productions Gigi Santiago-Lara, and GMA Records Managing Director Rene Salta.

The Pambansang Bae signed a two-year contract and some of the projects lined up for him are two albums and a concert.

During his interview with GMANetwork.com, Alden talked about his profound gratitude with the GMA Records team for their effort and dedication.

Alden explained, “Happy! Ramdam ko naman kasi talaga ‘yung GMA Records has been continuously researching, doing a lot of brainstorming kung ano ‘yung mga ibibigay na projects sa akin which I appreciate. Kasi parang like what I said before, ‘di naman ako talaga kumakanta. This is not my craft, pero slowly as the years passed by parang nagugustuhan ko na siya. Iba rin ‘yung fulfillment sa singing, so happy ako na I’m still with GMA Records, it’s my third year.”

He added that he is also considering if he could partner with GMA Records in producing a concert in the future.

“I’m putting that into consideration na rin kasi siyempre at least parang it’s a healthy collaboration on my part to explore rin the side of being a producer,” he said.

Meanwhile, GMA Records EVP Felipe S. Yalong is elated that Alden Richards remains in their elite roster of talents. He also revealed that they are planning to stage another big concert for the Pambansang Bae this 2018.

“Kami ay nagagalak lalo na ang GMA Records kasi pumirma uli sa atin ng kontrata si Alden. In fact, if you look at ‘yung mga last albums that we released, lahat yan nag-platinum records,” the GMA executive shared.

“During this age na digital na noh, but in this case even ‘yung record niya has achieved that platinum status, so happing-happy kami that he will continue to be with GMA Records and hopefully within the year we can have also a concert of Alden,” he ended.

Meanwhile, Alden wishes to work with singer/songwriter Ogie Alcasid in the future. He said, “Sana maisulat ako ng isang kanta ng the one and only Kuya Ogie Alcasid. Sana lang, hopefully kung kakayanin. It’s my dream.”
