Betong Sumaya started in the industry behind the camera as a production assistant for GMA shows while also making appearances here and there on screen but his life changed after competing in "Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Doubles Showdown" and became the Celebrity Sole Survivor. This win springboarded his career and he has been a comedian, host, and singer with GMA ever since. He then became a main cast member of the longest-running gag show on Philippine TV, "Bubble Gang," where he often says his catchphrase, "Amazing," or plays his iconic kontrabida character named "Antonietta." He also portrays a lot of comic relief characters on TV in shows like "Genesis," "Because Of You," "I Heart Davao," and "The Gift." Betong has been given the opportunity to host a couple of Kapuso shows as well, from musical variety programs to game shows, you can bet on Betong to make us laugh. Aside from being a one-of-a-kind comedian, he is also an amazing singer and has released his debut single, "Nang Minahal Mo Ang Mahal Ko" under GMA Music.
