As an actress, Carla Abellana knows that she needs to look a certain way even if she's not on camera. So, she's mastered her everyday makeup in around 15 to 20 minutes tops!
In her latest vlog, Carla teaches her viewers how to achieve her everyday makeup look by doing it step-by-step. She reminds everyone to make sure that the face is clean before applying makeup on; use toner and moisturizer if possible.
She also suggests putting on sunscreen with at least SPF50 coverage to protect the skin from the sun's ultraviolet rays.
Tips for wearing waterproof makeup this rainy season
Step 1: Concealer
Put concealer under the eyes, to hide eye bags, and then the inner corner of the eyes. Also put concealer on the acne marks before putting it on your cheeks.
Tip: If you don't use brush or sponge, use your ring finger to blend and spread your concealer.
Step 2: Powder
Next step is setting your face with powder. Put powder on top of your concealer and make sure that you put the right amount.
Tip: Find your shade and once you find it, stick to it. Carla also doesn't rub the cushion; she just pats it on her skin.
Step 3: Eyebrows
After putting concealer and powder, the next step is to fix the eyebrows. According to Carla, her eyebrows have vacant spots so she uses an eyebrow pencil to fill the gap.
Tip: Unless your eyebrows are thin, don't draw your eyebrows, just fill the vacant spots.
Step 4: Lip balm
Whether your lips are dry or not, applying lip balm can be beneficial to your lips.
Tip: For dry lips, always apply lip balm first before applying lipstick.
Step 5: Eyeliners
The hardest part of doing makeup is doing your eyeliners. Carla suggests putting a very, very thin line of eyeliner.
Tip: Eyeliners should be as close to your eyelashes as possible.
Step 6: Blush on
While waiting for your eyeliners to dry, start putting blush on. Carla starts putting blush on the apple of her cheeks before brushing and spreading it upwards.
Tip: The amount of blush on both cheeks should be equal.
Step 7: Lip gloss
In lieu of a lipstick, Carla suggests using lip gloss because it follows the natural color of the lips.
Step 8: Eyelashes
Once your eyeliners are dry, you can proceed to curl your eyelashes. Carla reveals that she uses her curler three times to achieve the perfect curl.
Tip: Curl your eyelashes as close to your eyelid as possible.
Step 9: Mascara
After curling, you can now apply mascara to darken your eyelashes.
Tip: Any mascara will do as long as it provides length and it's waterproof.
