Pollution, stress and the changing weather can take a toll on the skin making it dry and dull.
GMANetwork.com interviewed beauty vlogger/entrepreneur/designer Camille Co and asked for tips on how to take care of the skin. Here are some of her do's and don'ts:
Number one on Camille's list is hydration. She said: "Drink lots of water. No amount of skincare can be a substitute for proper hydration."
How much water does an individual need?
According to Mayo Clinic, "an adequate daily fluid intake is: about 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids for men and about 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women
"These recommendations cover fluids from water, other beverages, and food. About 20 percent of daily fluid intake usually comes from food and the rest from drinks."
According to Camille, another thing that people should remember when it comes to skincare is buying the old but reliable sunblock. There are a ton of articles, blogs, and videos that talks about the harmful rays of the sun which contains UV rays and its adverse effect on our skin.
"Make sure to do your research, what works for others might not work for you. You have to buy products that are suitable for your skin type and the environment you're in" Camille said.
It is well to note that there are no golden rules to follow when it comes to skincare because the skin responds differently to every skincare routine.
Arm yourself with the knowledge, so you will know which of these tips suits you best.
