Professional makeup artist Regan Rabanal shows the latest trends in makeup as seen on models at fashion week.
When it comes to makeup trends, taking inspiration from models strutting down the runways of fashion week is always a good idea.
Actress and self-confessed makeup junkie Lauren Young explored a few of these beauty trends in her latest vlog. She also got help from Regan Rabanal who is a MAC Senior Manager of Makeup Artistry in Asia.
Here are the makeup trends Regan did on Lauren's face:
1. Brushed up brows
According to Regan, fluffy and brushed up brows are a huge trend in fashion and social media. To achieve the look, Regan used a lash primer on Lauren's brows to act as a pomade to brush the hairs in place.
2. Romantic makeup trend
Another makeup trend currently in vogue is the romantic makeup trend. Instead of applying highly-pigmented colors, Regan opted for muted tones. He softly applied these colors on the eyes and cheeks then proceeded to blend it for a barely-there makeup look.
3. Popsicle lips
Regan also made Lauren wear the Popsicle lips trend. He used three different shades of lipstick of varying intensity --swiping the lightest one all over the lip, the mid-tone shade as a slight stain, and the darkest lipstick at the very center.
