Pop icon and makeup mogul Rihanna truly shook up the entire beauty industry when she launched her own cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty, in 2017.
What set Fenty Beauty apart from other brands was the release of their signature Pro Filt'r Longwear Foundation with a diverse shade range of 40 upon launch, which they then expanded with 10 more.
This launch received praise from the entire beauty community, specifically from people of color, for addressing the lack of shade diversity in complexion products from other well-established brands.
Now, it seems like Rihanna is set to shake things up once more with the upcoming release of her line of pressed powders formulated with the same love as her game-changing foundations.
"Pro Filt'r foundation changed the beauty game like no other, and we not bout to stop now!!
"Introducing our brand NEW #PROFILTRPOWDERFOUNDATION
"I turned my favorite Pro Filt'r Foundation formula into pressed powder perfection!!! Same 50 shades and soft matte finish."
According to the product description on the brand's official site, it took Rihanna and her team three years to formulate and perfect the Pro Filt'r Powder Foundation.
"Rihanna loves poreless, blurred-looking skin but could never find the perfect powder to satisfy her needs.
"After 3 years of perfecting this formula, she developed the ultimate powder that makes skin look like skin, not cakey, and works on all skin types and tones.
"It's the perfect filter on the go and she always has this in her purse."
Fenty Beauty also describes the product as longwearing, buildable from light to full coverage, non-cakey, soft matte finish, crease-resistant, and blurring.
Plus, with its 50 shades, everyone's bound to have the one that suits their skin tone just right.
"Bringin you a new way to #STAYPRESSED with our #PROFILTRPOWDERFOUNDATION! Swipe on this silky smooth powder all over your face for a cake-free, sweat, and humidity-resistant base in your perfect match from our iconic 50 shade range! Y'all ready?"
The Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Powder Foundation will be available starting this December 26 on their website, Sephora, and other beauty retailers.
In other news, American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys recently launched her own brand of skincare and wellness products she named Keys Soulcare.
"Thank you for joining me on this journey. Creating Keys Soulcare has been my pleasure and my passion. The truth is, self-care -- self-love, really -- has always been super important to me.
"It's not just the products that I use, it's also the space I give myself. To slow down. To meditate. To do a face mask or to light my favorite candle. It's these moments -- these rituals -- that nurture me and make me feel connected body, mind, and spirit. It's my one wish that every soul experiences these moments of self-love and acceptance so that we can all shine brighter together," wrote Keys.
