Rain or Shine veteran guard Chris Tiu is looking forward to representing the country in the coming 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

PHL will have a basketball team in 2018 Asian Games, says SBP

The former Ateneo cager made it to Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas's initial list of players that will make up the Philippine delegation to the upcoming Asiad.

NLEX Road Warrior coach Joseller "Yeng" Guiao is the man calling the shots for the national basketball team.

The final 12 players that will compete in the Asian Games will be determined before they leave for Indonesia.

In an Instagram post, Chris promised that he will do his very best to represent the country in the big sporting event.

He last wore the national colors back in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.

“It's been 6 years since I last wore a PH uniform. Truly honored to be part of the 2018 Asian Games pool. Based on our 2010 stint in the Guangzhou Asian games, competition is extremely tough!”

“And despite our current setbacks, we will do everything we can to give our country a team you can cheer for and hopefully one you can be proud of. We ask for your prayers and unwavering support. Thank you to the SBP for making this possible and for the trust... And of course to our Lord for this sweet blessing! #LabanPilipinas”
