Did you know that Kapuso actress Ayeesha Cervantes came close to canceling her debut plans?
Having a grand debut is a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that many girls want and it is exactly what Kapuso actress Ayeesha Cervantes dreamed of having ever since she was 14 years old.
And last November 21, Ayeesha's dreams came true. Despite her beaming smile, the young star admitted that she came close to cancelling the special celebration.
In an interview with the press, Ayeesha shared that this year has been very difficult, not only for her, but her family as well.
She admitted, "A lot happened this year, 2018. My lola from my mother's side died, my lola and lolo from my father's side died also. And also, my tito, last week lang actually. I kinda hate this year because of 'yung mga happenings and all. -- I didn't want to celebrate it anymore because of what happened."
Still, she is grateful for the people who persuaded her to go through with her special night.
"GMA and a lot of people believed in me and they want me to celebrate it pa rin. Once-in-a-lifetime lang talaga 'tong moment na 'to.
"Minsan lang 'yung mag gown ka ng ganito and sa'yo lang 'yung attention for one night and you can be a princess for one night," Ayeesha said.
Ayeesha tearfully dedicated her birthday wish to her family.
"Siguro by this time, 'yung family is okey na -- okey na ulit 'yung family and all. Andaming pinagdaanan for the last [few] years and now, that's the number one on my wish list. Sana for the next years, okey na ang family ulit. No problem anymore."
Now that she's 18, Ayeesha is more goal-oriented and ready to focus on her career.
