Kris Aquino continues her treatment in the US, aways from her her sons, Josh and Bimby.

Kris Aquino will soon be separated from her second son, Bimby, who has been with her in the US while getting treatments for her health condition. The actress-TV host's teenage son will return to the Philippines in July to focus on his studies.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, May 18, Kris posted a short video thanking everyone who supported her, from her family to her friends and fans. She also gave an update about her sons, who will go back home while she stays in the US.

“My Ate was worried, I had said that Bimby would fly home at the end of July to study in 1 of our schools offering the International Baccalaureate Program. My Ate said 'We're so worried about you, how will you survive the semi-isolation without Bimb? He's still okay with studying & he's still doing well with homeschooling?'” Kris shared in the video.

However, Kris said she wanted her second child to enjoy his teenage life.

“It's so embarrassing that you all feel I'm so dependent on my 16-year-old," she wrote.

“He deserves to enjoy being 16. I want him to experience what I didn't, a regular high school and college life,” she said, noting how she was in 2nd-year high school when her mom, the late former president Cory Aquino, was elected, and how she started working at the age of 16.

Likewise, Kris mentioned that Josh has already returned to the Philippines. She also happily shared that her eldest son has already lost weight after gaining almost 70 pounds while in the US for 11 months. She then expressed how proud she is of Josh for losing 17 pounds just two months after his return to the country.

“In the less than 2 months since his return to the [Philippines] his daily morning jogging and workout (MTW) + afternoon swimming (ThFS) he's lost 17 pounds. Good job, kuya!”

She added, “Congratulations on your weight loss. We miss you, but I'm so proud. You've already lost close to 20 lbs. and you're excited that Bimb's going home. Tanggap mo na that mama is for FaceTime & iMessage. Thank you kuya for encouraging everyone to PRAY. Please visit Mama for my birthday?”

In the the same video, Kris also noted how important her sons are to her, "Home is where my boys are," and "Yes I gave you life...but really you gave me mine."

Kris, meanwhile, will be staying in the US to continue her treatments for her five or six autoimmune diseases, and have already taken her “baby does” of methotrexate, a type of medicine that treats cancer, psoriasis, and rheumatoid arthritis, as she explained in her post.

Kris then expressed her fear to share her status for fear that “baka mawalan kayo ng gana to keep praying for me & my doctors, my sons, and my sisters.”

“Hindi ako sumusuko, sana wag rin kayo sumuko? Please?” she added.
