
Crooner Richard Poon touched the hearts of his Instagram followers when he shared a photo with his mom Eva whom he recently visited in Taiwan.
The singer also penned a heartfelt letter for his 80-year-old mother and shared that as a kid, he was always worried about her health.
Richard recalled then, “When I was in elementary, my Mom was so worried about her health, after having some surgeries done in-and-out of the hospital…
She said, 'I might not live long, next year might be the year my body gives in…(baka mawala na si Mommy)'
“As a young boy in the 1980s, I was scared sh%tless. I panicked, I prayed, I had sleepless nights worrying. More than 35 years later, my Mom is now 80 yo. Here's a pic of us of my recent visit in Taiwan.”
He added, “Beyond the medicine, tablets, and visits to the hospital, I always tell my Mom, “Look HOW FAR YOU'VE COME.”
“You scared me as a boy, I thought I would lose you early…but you know what Ma, God is good, He preserved you WAY WAY LONGER than you thought. Don't let worry or fear rob you of enjoying God's gift of life.
“To my most beautiful Mom, I love you very much.”
