
Ruby Rodriguez is beaming with pride with the latest accomplishment of her son Antonio Jesus or AJ.
Ruby's family has been residing in the United States since 2021.
On her Instagram post, the Eat Bulaga host lauded AJ for showing to everyone that his disability is not a hindrance.
The former Owe My Love actress also attached a photo of AJ holding a Panther of the Month certificate. She then wrote in the captions, “These are the moments when everything you sacrificed for and gave up makes it all worth it I'm so Proud of you my son.
“My Aj, despite of your disability you strive to be your best and make your family proud. This award may not be much to others But to me to us his Family it means more than a Gold medal. Love you my son You make mommy proud.”
Several celebrities also congratulated AJ for his new achievement including Candy Pangilinan, Sherilyn Reyes-Tan, and It's Showtime host Amy Perez.
In an exclusive interview with 24 Oras two years ago, Ruby explained their decision to migrate to America.
She said, “Alam naman ng lahat na my son AJ, he's SPED, but he has medical problems also--meron siyang rare autoimmune [disease].
“'Yung sa rare autoimmune niya, kidneys niya kasi ang nadali. So, diyan sa Philippines na-biopsy na siya lahat, so he's being treated para hindi siya matransplant 'yun ang ina-avoid. So, dinala ko siya dito for medical purposes.”
