Carla Abellana to her Ate Erica: 'Celebrating you today and thanking God for you everyday.'
Kapuso Primetime Goddess Carla Abellana wrote a heartfelt birthday message for her sister Erica Abellana-Espiritu.
Carla and Erica are children of seasoned actor Rey “PJ” Abellana with his ex-partner, model-actress Rea Reyes.
In her April 7 Instagram post, Carla described her Ate Erica as her “protector.” She posted, “My number one critic, my backbone, my defender, my protector. My Ate. Celebrating you today and thanking God for you everyday. Abu, Ate! Happy Birthday!”
Last January 2024, Carla renewed her contract with GMA-7 and she is currently busy shooting for the upcoming murder mystery drama Widows' War with multi-awarded actress Bea Alonzo.
