Did you know that Kapuso leading man Gil Cuerva has an "artistahin" brother named Basti Cuerva?
In support of his brother, Basti made an appearance on lifestyle show 'Taste Buddies' which Gil hosts.
The brothers shared how they keep themselves fit even during the quarantine and taught each other simple volleyball and basketball drills.
Basti and Gil also tried to bake some cheesecake together.
Basti is actually a student athlete and was part of the Ateneo de Manila University men's volleyball team. He also served as the team's captain.
Since the 82nd UAAP got cancelled due to COVID-19, he admitted that he misses the sport and vowed to keep his fitness up.
"Wala lang nakakamiss lang yung in-season levels of fit hahaha Missing the game a little extra tonight ," he wrote on Instagram.
In the middle of the pandemic, he also finished his degree in ADMU. He proudly shared his graduation photo and looked back at all his years in school.
"17 years... I am just so grateful for everything that the Ateneo has taught me!" he said.
Basti is also in a longtime relationship with Ann Basa who is also a volleyball player for the Ateneo Lady Eagles. The couple has been together for four years.
"Despite seeing each other a total of 3(?) times this whole pandemic, I'm glad we've found alternative ways to spend time with each other. Overall, I'm thankful that after 4 years we're still constantly learning more about ourselves and each other and at the end of the day, it's me and you against the world. Te quiero," he wrote on Instagram during their anniversary.
