Philip James Younghusband

Retired Filipino-English football star Phil Younghusband seems to be enjoying every minute of fatherhood.

Since retiring from professional football in 2019, he has moved back to England and started his own family.

He married Margaret Hall in a dreamy countryside wedding on July 19, 2019, at the Goodnestone Park in Kent. The pair became a couple in 2015 and got engaged in December of 2017.

Phil and Margaret welcomed their first child, Philip James on June 12, 2020.

Phil revealed that little Philip James was named after him and his father.

"Enjoying every second of being a husband and a father. Even with less sleep, being with our beautiful son gives us more energy," he wrote on his Instagram account.

He also shared that his son takes after him in a lot of ways.

"Philip is so curious and intrigued by everything around him. He always wants to be in a position where he can see what's going on, he doesn't want to miss a thing. Family and friends all say they know where he got that from...," Phil shared.

Margaret recalled how excited they both were to be first-time parents to Philip James.

"This time last year, I found out I was pregnant. Phil and I were on our mini moon in Bohol. I will always remember the look on Phil's face. He made me cry happy tears! My mind raced with every single thought about what was going to happen next but the most exciting part was knowing that there was a beautiful baby growing inside of me...and here he is, our sweet Philip, full of all the love that he was created with. ," Margaret wrote on her Instagram account back in
October last year.
