Candy Pangilinan's tender moments with son, Quentin

Being a mom is no easy task. For actress-comedian Candy Pangilinan, there are extra challenges that come with the responsibility, something that she embraces wholeheartedly.
Her son, Quentin, was diagnosed with autism at a very young age. Being a single mom means that Candy has to navigate the emotional rollercoaster ride of parenthood all by herself.
“Feeling ko, because of the need to be able to support Quentin, ang daming talent na lumalabas po sa akin,” Candy told members of the media during a press conference in 2019.
She was pertaining about her other side hustles to complement her showbiz earnings so she could provide for her son.
But make no mistake about it, Quentin has made Candy a more loving, patient, and stronger person.
Naturally optimistic and fun-loving, Candy makes sure to pass all that positive vibes to her son through any means possible.
Both enjoy their mother-son bonding and Candy always shares the moments with the public by posting pictures and videos on social media.
“Ang malaking bagay po na nag-iba sa akin is I've become more grateful because there's so many things that we take for granted, 'yon po ang totoo,” Candy reflected.
“Kasi 'yung simpleng pagsalita, pag-communicate, pag-open ng hands, 'yon po ay mga bagay na hirap na hirap ginawa ng anak ko. So many things that we take for granted then I realized na 'wow, it's a gift pala.”
Candy also makes it a point to give back and support parents who are also in a similar situation. Her YouTube channel and Instagram posts contain valuable nuggets of wisdom for parents to reflect on.
