Tirso Cruz: "Sadly, it is my second birthday that I will be celebrating without you."
It was supposed to be a special celebration for Tirso Cruz III as he turned 68th yesterday, April 1, but the veteran actor couldn't help but be emotional as he celebrated his birthday without his son TJ.
Tirso's eldest son died after his six-month long battle with cancer in November 2018.
On his Instagram post, the showbiz icon said that he misses his son a lot on his birthday.
"GODly heavenly morning TJ! It's my birthday today. Sadly, it is my second birthday that I will be celebrating without you.
"Though I know you are happy for me from where you are now."
While celebrating his birthday, Tirso also kept in mind the current COVID-19 crisis and prayed for it end soon.
"The enhanced quarantine continues to be in effect.
"I thank God hope they find a cure or vaccine for this Covid 19 soon. For people are really having a hard time. Missing you TEEJ."
Meanwhile, Tirso's wife, Lynn Ynchausti-Cruz, also shared on Instagram Story a throwback photo of their celebration for Tirso in 2015, when TJ was still with them.
Several celebrities took to social media to greet the veteran actor on his special day including Aicelle Santos, Sunshine Cruz, and Ana Feleo.
