In a recent episode of Family Time, Daddy Drew Arellano had a one-on-one chat with Pinay mom Ginalyn Riegel, who is currently residing in the United States, to talk about how she introduced some classic Filipino delicacies to her American husband Todd Riegel and his daughters Taylor and Ashley.

Ginalyn is also behind the YouTube channel 'The Riegel Twins Show,' wherein she features her Fil-Am twins, Dawson and Brayden, as she exposes them to our Pinoy native dishes.

She told Family Time that she met Todd through an online dating site. “After three months of talking everyday, he visited the Philippines to meet me and that is how our love story started.”

The two immediately tied the knot when Todd came to the Philippines. Mommy Ginalyn has been living in the U.S. for five years already, but admitted that there are certain things that she misses in our country.

Ginaly shared to Drew, “Hanggang ngayon, I have been here for almost five years, I'm still adjusting, 'pag winter nagrereklamo pa rin kasi sobrang lamig.

“And sa food medyo adjusted na sa food, but I'm still looking for Filipino food kaya lagi pa rin ako nagluluto ng mga Filipino food. 'Yun hahanap-hanapin talaga natin.”

Although she is in America, this Pinay mom made sure to introduce to her family some of the sumptuous dishes from her home country.

“Yeah! Actually, he [Todd] loves adobo, he will always ask me to cook it. My stepdaughters [Taylor and Ashley] like it also, lumpia and pansit.”

This hardworking mom also made sure to document the adorable reactions of her boys Dawson and Brayden whenever they munch down Filipino food.

According to Ginalyn, their online viewers commend her for what she is doing and by keeping her twins connected to their Filipino roots.

“They like it that I'm cooking Filipino food kahit nandito ako sa Amerika, [I] introduced it to my family kahit Americans sila, especially to the babies, to the twins.”
