Legal Wives star Alice Dixson penned a tear-jerking tribute to her later mother on Instagram and shared some of her realizations now that she's a mom herself.

During her guesting on Bawal Judgmental of Eat Bulaga, Alice revealed that she had Baby Aura via surrogacy.

“When I was abroad, dahil nga sa lockdown at tsaka 'yung travel restrictions, hindi ko nakasama ang pamilya ko nung nanganak ang surrogate ko. So, dahil hindi pa sila vaccinated hindi pa sila maka-travel. Paglabas ng baby sa hospital ako na ang lahat.

“Ako 'yung nag-asikaso ng passport niya, ako 'yung nag-asikaso ng visa niya, ako 'yung nag-asikaso ng pagpapakain sa kanya. Kumbaga I didn't have a driver, a maid, a nanny, anything. It was all me for the first and a half so, ang hirap."

In her Instagram post last May 19, the 51-year-old actress recalled some of her mother's struggle raising her.

According to Alice, her mom gave birth to her at the age of 33, which during that time in the '60s was considered pretty late to start a family.

She wrote, “Remembering my mom as I am now a mom.

“The stories she told;

“How she [and] her siblings had to find different ways to survive sa province from selling halo2, fish, to cutting hair - all while as children [and] young adults busy sa farm.”

“My mom was strong, business minded, beautiful [and] sexy. (She had a nice figure na kita sa younger [black and white] pictures nila! I wish I had them on me to show off).

“She wore her hair short [and] her [two] front teeth gold rimmed, walang sinabi ang mga rappers sa kanya. She was known to all as mommy, tiya, [and] Ate Coring.”

She added, “I think she was around 33 when she met my father (love story for next time - kilig 🤗), and when I was born 37 na sya; my dad 43.

“During those times in the mid '60s, those ages were medyo late na mag start ng family - but they persevered because they wanted so much to have a child together. May parallelisms ang motherhood journeys namin.

“She said they did a lot including the hilot thing, at ang pagsayaw sa Obando. How menopause baby na ako [and] how I was conceived on our farm - under a coconut tree daw.”

Now, that she's a parent too, Alice has a deeper appreciation of the many things that her own mother has done for their whole family.

“My [first] Mother's Day passed [and] thought of how we celebrated for her. Ngayon ko lang talaga na-appreciate at naramdaman ang sacrifices niya, all the love”

Feeling a bit sentimental, Alice knows that her mother is watching over Baby Aura, even though she didn't get to meet her in person.

“And even if she didn't get to meet her [eighth] apo in person, I know she's watching over our little family.

“Whatever I am today it's because of you. I hope to pass all the best qualities to my daughter.

“You are missed [and] will always be remembered in our hearts x Josie, Nellie, Alice, Robert, Matthew, Samantha, Ann, Cynthia, JR, [and] Aura.”
