John Lloyd Cruz revealed his hopes to raise his son Elias without imposing anything on the three-year-old.
In a tell-all interview with Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, multi-awarded TV-movie actor John Lloyd Cruz shared that fatherhood was one of the many similarities between his real self and the character he plays in his long-awaited comeback project.
“Hindi nalalayo sa kung ano 'yung buhay ng typical male of my age pero ang kakaiba rito ay 'yung structure ng family na kinabibilangan niya. Plus, dito meron din akong anak,” he said.
Asked about how he is as a father to his real-life son Elias, John Lloyd said he aims to be one of value.
“Sabi nung katuwang kong nag-aalaga sa kaniya, si Ate Sol, pinapakinggan naman daw ako nung bata. I try my best to lead without imposing,” he shared.
Elias is the actor's son with former partner Ellen Adarna. The pair started dating in 2017, but reportedly broke up in 2019.
Last November 11, Ellen tied the knot with TV-movie actor Derek Ramsay after 10 months of dating.
John Lloyd stressed that his relationship with Ellen now revolves solely on co-parenting their son.
“That's her life. Nagsisimula at nagtatapos sa anak namin ang aking masasabi patungkol sa kaniya or sa buhay niya,” he shared.
