The former 'T.G.I.S.' actress professes her love for her family and has an important message about celebrating Christmas.

Rica Peralejo shared a photo of herself “ugly crying” because she won't be able to spend Christmas with her family in the U.S.

The former T.G.I.S. actress and vlogger said she sent her ugly crying photo to her family.

She also stated that her nephew got married and she wasn't able to make it because her vaccination schedule didn't make it.

Rica then talked about how many people won't be having a merry Christmas celebration this year.

“So many people are not having the usual happy Christmas. I am one of them,” said Rica in the caption. “There is nothing I want more but to be with my fam in the US right now. I believe many of us lost people we love in the past years, too, and the holidays make us feel that loss even more.”

She then shared why she loves her family so much.

“My family is great. There were years that I believed some people were better after being blinded by cultures that promote theirs is superior. But whenever I get to the bottom of it, our family, though not perfect, gave me a safe space and above all: STAYED THRU AND THRU,” Rica narrated. “Yeah, sure we fought, but they still included me in everything and treated me, well, family.”

Rica also emphasized how it was only her family that loved her unconditionally no matter what, by saying, “…many will claim to be family to you but only those who will stay thru the differences, who will unconditionally love you, accept you, not change you, even when you don't agree on everything, will prove to be true and lasting. Only time tells.”

She also added, “This Peralejo fam of mine is running 40 years and still going. People who carried me to the car when I was drunk, people who cried when I was harsh, people who nursed me when I was abandoned by those I had offered my life and service to. Maybe it had to take that much for me to know there is a gift in the family I am a part of.”

Rica ended her post by reminding those who are going through a difficult time right now that they are not alone.

“Few more days before Christmas and if your heart is breaking for your own sadness or the world's, the nation's … it's okay,” she stated. “The most wonderful time of the year is not because everything is perfect but because there was an answer, a comfort, to our imperfect world.
