Kapuso actress Kylie Padilla posted a self-written poem for her sons, Alas Joaquin and Axl Romeo, on her YouTube channel yesterday, December 30.

“I want you to know, my sweetheart, mama is not perfect but mama will try her best,” she said in the three-minute video titled "A Poem for my Boys."

Along with clips of precious moments with her children, the 28-year-old celebrity mom also shared what her answer will be when they start asking about the meaning of love, saying, “It's when you're at your lowest, when you're tired, when you're aching, and you feel kind of lost. You find your compass and you hold on to it.”

“You are my guiding light, my ray of hope in dark places. You are love, my love. One I'll never let go [of]. I'll try to always keep you safe and not let any moment go to waste. Mama is not perfect but you love me still. You heal me in every moment, and I'll do my best to deserve it…Whatever road that brought us here, I'll walk tall and strong for you. I love you both. I always will,” she added.

Kylie has two sons with her former partner, Aljur Abrenica. They tied the knot in 2018 and confirmed their breakup in July, first by her father Robin, followed by Kylie who assured that they were both “working on a healthy co-parenting relationship together.”
