Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera never fails to make a tribute for her beloved grandmother Lola Iska, who turned 91 on March 9.
Marian said in a social media post, "Happy birthday Nanay! Today we are celebrating you on your special day. Salamat sa lahat Nay! 🙏🏻 Hope you enjoy our family bonding time and your favorite mango bravo cake! ☺️ Mahal na mahal kita ♥️"
The Kapuso actress is known to be close to her grandmother who raised her while her mother worked overseas.
She said in a past interview, “Lola ko ang nagpalaki sa akin. Sabi ko nga eh hindi porke't lola ko siya eh lola. Para sa akin isa kasi siya sa tinuring kong talagang nanay ko, na masasabi ko siya 'yung puso ng tahanan. Kung wala siya, hindi ko alam kung ano meron ako ngayon kasi sa kanya ko natutunan 'yung determinasyon sa buhay.”
Many fans are waiting for the Primetime Queen's highly-anticipated TV comeback, which might happen soon now that she's open to doing an in-person lock-in taping.
Currently, the actress is set to star in a family-oriented show with husband Dingdong Dantes. She told 24 Oras in an interview this month, "Tapos na 'yung script niya. [We're] finalizing the cast, and the date. Then, script reading na kami. Then after the reading, ready to roll."
