Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi has always been open about her love for her mother
Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is finally reunited with her mother, Maria Luisa Rabimbi, in Parma, Italy.
In the most recent post on her Instagram account, Celeste posted seven photos and three videos of the reunion, with a number of sweet moments with her mom included. In the caption to the post, Celeste wrote “Just like old times.”
Celeste's Instagram followers cheered on the reunion. Also in the comments was Celeste's boyfriend, Mathew Custodio and former Miss Universe Philippines first runner-up Maureen Wroblewitz.
Celeste is very open about how important her mother is to her. During her Miss Universe Philippines run, her answer to her final question was all about her mother.
“If I could stop time, I would spend it with my family, especially my mother. It's been two years since I haven't spent time with my family because they live in Italy, and I came here in the Philippines just by myself. If I had a chance to spend one day, I would definitely be with my mom, and I would just tell her how much I love her and I miss her,” she said in response to the question of what she would do for a day if she could stop time.
Celeste has also been open about what her mother has sacrificed for her, saying that what's uniquely beautiful about her mother is her determination.
“What's uniquely beautiful about my mom is really her determination, the way she is so strong, the way she sacrificed to provide for me and my sister and in a different country. It just says a lot about her strength and determination,” she said.
Italy is just the latest stop for the European trip Celeste is having alongside Miss Universe Philippines Tourism Michelle Dee. The pair are traveling with Miss Universe Philippines creative director Jonas Gaffud and Miss Universe Philippines Director of Communications Voltaire Tayag.
The queens have so far visited Nice and Cannes in France and Monaco.
