For some people, Father's Day is a bittersweet occasion as their fathers are no longer with them. Current reigning Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi is one of those people, and she made sure to recognize her father even if he is no longer here.

On a post on her Instagram account, Celeste posted a photo of a black butterfly on her hand, along with the caption “To her, the name of father was another name for love.” Butterflies are often thought of as a “sign” from a deceased loved one.

Without her father in her life, Celeste has turned to her mother, Maria Luisa Rabinbin, who she even mentioned in her Q & A response that eventually won her the Miss Universe Philippines crown.

In an interview last May, Celeste described her mother's “strength and determination” as what was uniquely beautiful about her.

“It doesn't matter what she goes through, it doesn't matter the challenges and the struggles, she's always strong and she can always help others,” she explained.

Celeste isn't the only celebrity spending Father's Day without their father. Saab Magalona honored her father Francis M on Father's Day while at the same time showing her appreciation to her mother Pia for standing as both parental figures for 13 years now.

Carmina Villarroel's Daddy Regy also passed away recently, and the Kapuso star had to celebrate her first Father's Day without him this year.
