Bea Alonzo financial struggles

Bea Alonzo recalls the times she had to worry about her family's basic needs. "I remember, when I would show up for work, iniisip ko na, 'Uy, magkano kaya kikitain ko sa linggong 'to?'"

After A-list actress Bea Alonzo shared her early struggles in show business about her wardrobe, tapings, and etc., she recently revealed how she stands before as her family's breadwinner.

In her July 2022 cover feature in fashion magazine Preview, Bea shared more interesting things about herself.

The Start-Up Ph actress revealed that her family experienced financial struggles back then and that was one of the reasons why she worked very hard to earn money and buy food and provide for their daily needs.

She shared, “I remember, when I would show up for work, iniisip ko na, 'Uy, magkano kaya kikitain ko sa linggong 'to? Ano kaya ipambibili naming ng ganito? Makakabayad kaya kami ng kuryente, ng rent sa bahay?'”

The Kapuso actress seems to be a loving member of their family.

In fact, in her younger days, her brother James treated her as a second mother because she already knew how to handle big responsibilities in life.

"I'm four years older than my brother but he treats me as if I'm also his mom, so he has two moms because he knew I was sending him to school. He knew I was putting food on the table, and that changed a lot of dynamics, pagdating sa pamilya namin. But one thing I find nice about it is even though I used to be a breadwinner, 'yung dynamics namin ng nanay ko, klaro na nanay ko siya..." she said.

Since she started her showbiz career, This Generation's Movie Queen considers herself a workaholic person.

Watch for Bea Alonzo's first-ever drama series with Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards, soon on GMA Telebabad!
