The former couple reunited for their daughter's birthday.
Kapag Nahati Ang Puso lead star Sunshine Cruz and action Cesar Montano have given the best birthday gift to their daughter Samantha on her 18th birthday with their reconciliation.
After going through a difficult annulment, which the court granted in 2018, the two were spotted together last week to celebrate Samantha's special day.
Sunshine took to Instagram once more and uploaded an old family photo with Cesar. She also shared another group photo with her ex-husband and current beau San Juan city councilor Macky Mathay taken from the party.
The celebrity mom began her post saying, “Who would've thought that after almost 10 years mabubuo ulit in one frame!”
She then continued, “In God's perfect time talaga. Kahit ano pa ang nangyari noon, one thing na hindi mawawala ay ang pagiging magulang namin sa mga bata. The girls are genuinely happy to have their dad back in their lives.
“Thank you, Kath, for being a wonderful Tita to my girls, I/we appreciate you! My girls love your kids so much. To my Macky for accepting and loving me and my kids, we love you, Roan, Cole, and Charlie too!
“Thank you sa lahat ng magaganda and positive messages. May God bless us all.”
Councilor Macky Mathay reacted to Sunshine's heartwarming post. He wrote, “When you love someone you have to completely love that person.. past, present, future and everything that comes with. You know how much I love you my Sunshine @sunshinecruz718 and I love you my added angels as if you were my own already Ange @angelinaisabele , Sammy @samcruzm and Cheskie @angelfranchesca !”
Meanwhile, Return to Paradise actress Teresa Loyzaga also wrote in the comment section, “Amen sis @sunshinecruz718 ! GOD is good. Much respect and more Blessings to all of you! I said this before and I'll say it again, You are one great mom! See you soon!”
Teresa and Cesar also have a son, actor Diego Loyzaga.
Sunshine and Cesar tied the knot in 2013 and the former filed for an annulment in 2013. Aside from Samantha, they have two other children: Angelina and Chesca.
