Doug Kramer took to Instagram his proud dad moment after Scarlett clinched a silver medal in her first face-to-face taekwondo sparring tournament.
“So, so, proud of our baby doll, Scarlett!” he wrote in his caption.
The former basketball player shared how there are times their second born struggled with her self-confidence and even questioned if it is the right sport for her.
“But each and every time you cried in frustration, you also came back and challenged yourself even more,” he continued.
Doug also reminded Scarlett to “keep your eagerness to improve, and learn from your mistakes. But just like everything in life, nothing really comes easy and you have to put work into it.”
He added, "And, when you love it, it's worth all the tears, challenges, and all the work you put in. All because you didn't give up! We all celebrate with you Scarlett!”
Doug promised that they will always be there to support Scarlett.
“There is still a lot to learn and we promise you, we will always be here to cheer you on and support you and remind you to never give up!” he said.
Doug added that Scarlett showed her bravery when she challenged a “more experienced and taller fighter in your finals match.”
"Win or learn! We're all so proud of you!” he concluded.
Great job, Scarlett!
