Iya Villania new house

Before you react to the design, here are Iya's sentiments about the look of Casa Arellano.

Chika Minute host Iya Villania took to her Instagram account to share with netizens the final look of her dream tiny home with husband Drew Arellano.

On her feed, Iya posted beautiful photos of the second floor of the house which is an open space with beds and proper ventilation. In the first part of her caption, she shared, “Just the right accents to make the place pretty, nothing too fancy or too delicate for a house designed for kids but still definitely something pretty to complement the design. Btw, this is all there is on the 2nd flr of the house. No rooms.”

Although the open floor plan gave way for more space and freedom to move upstairs, some netizens wondered how the area became feasible for kids. But before anyone can criticize the design, Iya already answered everyone's queries.

At the bottom part of her caption, she wrote, “Update: I understand the anxiety the railings, bed and windows bring. And to address the anxiety, pls note that these beds were set up this way only for the sake of these pictures. These are stackable beds and will be set up according to the request of the user/family. When we use these beds, it's only one layer and super wide to accommodate all 6 of us (since we co-sleep). And for the windows, I guess my children know not to climb out. I'd like to believe your children would know not to as well. ”

“and if in the future I see it does become a problem, then I will make the changes necessary :) the house really is tiny (48sqm) so it's easy to see if the kids are up to some monkey business. Also, the upstairs was really more designed for napping and resting so the playground is the place for active play,” she further explains.

By the end, Iya realized, “As with any new house, there are things you only discover as you use the place which is why my family and I have been testing it out first before we let YOU GUYS use it too. FYI, we've been using this space since September 2022, and have been refining since then as we address the concerns for children. So far, even my most daring and monkey child, Leon, hasn't thought of climbing out the window.”
